In an effort to recuit applicants for The Goldie Initiative’s 2019-20 class, spring events have focused on getting the word out about the opportunities available to female graduate students focusing on commercial real estate careers.Numerous events have already taken place at graduate schools in Chicago and around the Midwest, including the following:

In addition to recruitment events at colleges and universities, representatives from The Goldie Initiative attend events and meetings to network in Chicago’s commercial real estate community. One highlight was a building tour of the new Fifield Company development at 727 W. Madison. Participants from The Goldie Initiative toured the building and heard details of its creation from the developers and architects. Read more>>

Upcoming for Spring 2019, The Goldie Initiative will participate in a few more recruitment events before scholarship applications are due in mid-June. On Friday, May 3, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors will host an event entitled “From Residential to Commercial: Top CRE Producers Talk Career Transition” featuring moderator and Goldie Scholar Rebecca Thomson. DePaul University will host an Informational Session on May 8 for graduate students across the university to learn about the scholarship opportunity. And on Thursday May 9, The Goldie Initiative will host an Informational Webinar about completing the scholarship application.
