Question: How can I get a Mentor assigned to me through The Goldie Initiative?
Answer: Current Goldie Scholars are assigned mentors shortly after being accepted into the program for the academic year. Once they graduate, Goldie Scholars are welcome to continue the relationship with their Goldie Mentors informally, schedule permitting. 

Question: What is the time commitment of a Goldie Mentor?
Answer: Please review “Responsibilities of the Mentor to a Goldie Scholar” on our Mentor Program page. In addition to the expected interactions with their Goldie Scholars, Mentors are expected to attend 3-4 events associated with The Goldie Initiative on an annual basis.  

Question: How can I apply to be a Mentor with The Goldie Initiative?
Answer: Complete the Mentor Interest Form

Question: How are Mentors assigned to Goldie Scholars?
Answer: Once Mentor candidates commit to the responsibilities and complete the Mentor Interest Form, a member of the Mentor Task Force will conduct an interview. After Goldie Scholars are chosen each fall, Mentors are then assigned from the pool of available Mentors. 

Question: How many Goldie Mentors are assigned each academic year?
Answer: There are approximately 20 Primary Mentors assigned to Goldie Scholars each academic year. 

Question: What happens if I am a Mentor candidate but unassigned to a specific Goldie Scholar?
Answer: All Mentors – assigned and unassigned – are entered into The Goldie Initiative’s Mentor Resource Pool, which is a developing network of senior executive women in the Commercial Real Estate Industry.  A platform called Mentorship Rocket, designed for one-time mentorship sessions with Goldie Scholars, is another way to get involved as a Goldie Mentor.

Question: I don’t have time to fulfill all of the required expectations to be a considered a Goldie Mentor, but I still want to advise Goldie Scholars and/or Alumnae on a limited basis. How can I help?
Answer: Complete the Mentor Interest Form and indicate your availability.  A platform called Mentorship Rocket, designed for one-time mentorship sessions with Goldie Scholars, is another way to mentor with The Goldie Initiative.
