October 12, 2020
Dear Friends of The Goldie Initiative,
We are so thrilled with the success of our 2020 Virtual Goldie Gala at which we raised over $500,000. Through your generosity, we have awarded 25 scholarships at 12 universities. Thank you for helping us achieve our goals and continue our mission of elevating and advancing women’s careers in the Commercial Real Estate Industry.
We are also writing to share news of a transition taking place at The Goldie Initiative. Our Executive Director, Megan Abraham, has informed us that she has accepted a position with another organization and will be leaving The Goldie Initiative in mid-October. Megan has served in the role of Executive Director since October 2016. We thank her for the invaluable contribution she has made to The Goldie Initiative over the past four years and wish her all the best in her new endeavor.
We will quickly begin the search for a new Executive Director. In the meantime, we are delighted to announce that Karin Kraai, Principal of Kraai Advisors and Past President of The Goldie Initiative (2014-17), will be stepping in to serve as Interim Executive Director.
With the support of our staff and Board of Directors, we know that we won’t miss a beat in ensuring a smooth transition, keeping our programming on track and guiding the future of The Goldie Initiative. Our organization is in good financial health and a position of strength. While changes like this one are never easy, we can assure you that our important work at The Goldie Initiative will continue to thrive.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sincerely,
Goldie B. Wolfe Miller
