The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative (‘The Goldie Initiative®”), a nonprofit organization designed to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate, has partnered with the Annexstad Family Foundation in providing scholarship support for two cohort members in The Goldie Initiative’s Goldie Scholars program. The Goldie Initiative has created a professional community of women with extraordinary academic and leadership potential, known as Goldie Scholars.
With a unique strategy of scholarship, mentoring, networking and skills development, The Goldie Initiative cultivates talented women into future leaders. The program supports women pursuing graduate-level studies in business, law, design, or management with a focus on real estate. Over 30 current Goldie Scholars are studying in real estate-related programs at nearly 20 universities nationwide. Since 2007, The Goldie Initiative has supported nearly 200 female graduate students.
The focus of this partnership is to provide scholarship support to up to two Goldie Scholars over the next two years. As part of The Goldie Initiative’s scholarship selection process, specific Goldie Scholars will be identified as recipients of the funding from the Annexstad Family Foundation and be eligible to receive additional benefits from the Foundation, which offers its own supportive programming on many university campuses. Selected Goldie Scholars will have the opportunity to opt into the Foundation in-person and virtual programming. They will also be included in the Annexstad Family Foundation’s current community of undergraduate students and alumni.
Thanks to this generous contribution, the next two Goldie Scholar cohorts will be strengthened by this additional exposure and added programming for selected Scholars. These Goldie Scholars will be announced at the same time as the overall Goldie Scholar 2024-25 cohort, in August 2024.
The Goldie Initiative 2024-25 Scholarship Application is now open. Applications will be accepted through June 2, 2024, for the 2024-25 school year.
