We are pleased to announce Kelsey Cleland’s promotion to Program Director.
Kelsey started with the Initiative in 2017 and continues to work tirelessly on the Initiative’s mission to elevate women in
commercial real estate.
Her unwavering commitment to women leaders and passion for creating the best possible experience for each Goldie Scholar makes her a leader focused on changing the commercial real estate industry for the better.
Kelsey was recently honored for her work as a CREW Rising Star at the 2021 CREW Chicago Industry Awards Celebration. “Kelsey dedicates herself fully to every endeavor she pursues including her volunteer work. I am so pleased that she is being recognized and elevated in our community.” – Laura Giampietro, Board President.
Kelsey’s leadership is rooted in service and authenticity. In every aspect of her work, school, volunteer, and personal life, her aim is to improve the lives of those around her by providing unconditional support. She is the ultimate cheerleader and grounded sounding board for her clients, colleagues, and communities.
Through Kelsey’s history of studying film and strategic communications at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, plus her years of work in advertising, she developed a firm perspective on effective communication and an understanding of motivation. With a solid foundation of written, verbal and interpersonal communication, she pivoted to the nonprofit sector. Building on her natural passion for helping others, she returned to school for formal training at DePaul University to earn a Master of Nonprofit Management.
At The Goldie Initiative, Kelsey works with female graduate students who are the rising stars of commercial real estate, catapulting their careers through the scholarship program. The Goldie Initiative believes that its approach of executive mentorship, leadership development, graduate-level scholarship, and intense networking, creates a pipeline of extremely qualified women who will change the face of the male-dominated CRE industry.
