Chicago Chapter of SIOR Announces Strategic Partnership with The Goldie Initiative
The Chicago Chapter of The Society has announced a new partnership with The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative, a nonprofit organization designed to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate. The program supports women pursuing graduate-level studies in business, law, design, or management with a focus on real estate. Nearly 40 Goldie Scholars are studying in real estate-related programs at close to 20 universities nationwide.
The Goldie Initiative has received a one-year grant from the SIOR Chicago Chapter, which will be used to support scholarship programming for the 2025-2026 school year.
“The work that has been done by The Goldie Initiative in Chicago has been instrumental for cultivating the next generation of commercial real estate leaders, and we have great respect for this organization,” said Ryan Moen, SIOR, president of the SIOR Chicago Chapter and principal/co-founder of Versa Real Estate Services. “However, it was important to our chapter to not simply write a check and move on. We are excited to leverage the industry experience held by our members and are identifying mentor candidates to be matched with Goldie Scholar cohort members. This collaboration is sure to be meaningful not only to the scholars, but to our chapter members as well,” he added.
The Goldie Scholar 2025-2026 cohort will be announced in August 2025.
“The Goldie Initiative is grateful to SIOR Chicago for its commitment to supporting female leaders in the commercial real estate industry. In addition to funding our program expenses and scholarships, this grant elevates the relationship between our charitable organization and a strong industry partner with a global reach. Our hope is that Goldie Scholars and Alumnae will get involved in SIOR Chicago and benefit from its superb network and leadership opportunities. We thank The Goldie Initiative founder Goldie B. Wolfe Miller and 2020 Shero Award winner, Lynn Reich, both members of SIOR, as well as past and current leadership of SIOR Chicago, for facilitating this important strategic partnership,” said Megan Abraham, CEO of the Goldie Initiative.
