The Goldie Initiative and CCIM Foundation Partner on Scholarship Opportunity for Women Leaders

The Goldie Initiative is pleased to announce an historic partnership with the CCIM Foundation to support women leaders in commercial real estate.

The CCIM Foundation Board of Directors, at its April board meeting, approved the funding of a $10,000 two-year scholarship through The Goldie Initiative. The Goldie Initiative offers a prestigious leadership program designed to develop the next generation of women executives in the commercial real estate industry. The Goldie Initiative currently offers scholarships at four of the CCIM Institute’s University Alliance Schools: University of Wisconsin-Madison, DePaul University, Kellogg School of Management, and Roosevelt University.

The CCIM Foundation funded scholarship will be limited to women studying commercial real estate at one of these four schools, or any other universities currently included as a CCIM University Fast Track partner. Goldie Scholars for the 2019-20 school year will be announced in late August, 2019, and the  “CCIM Scholar” will be announced shortly thereafter.

This partnership represents an innovative collaboration between two leading commercial real estate industry non-profit educational organizations. With missions that align closely, The Goldie Initiative and the CCIM Foundation found common ground on an approach that could help both organizations grow their human capital and financial resources, as well as advance female leadership in the industry. The Goldie Initiative is thrilled at the opportunity to partner with an established industry leader and hopes that the partnership will encourage additional collaboration between the two organizations. Indeed, dozens of individuals involved with The Goldie Initiative are also active in the CCIM Institute, which is one of commercial real estate’s most influential professional organizations, with members closing $200 billion annually in commercial real estate deals. For 50 years, the Institute has been building opportunities through its respected education program, led by established practitioners.

In addition to the named scholarship, CCIM Foundation enjoys silver-level sponsorship benefits associated with the Goldie Gala 2019 to take place on September 12, 2019 at Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall in Chicago.
