The 2023 Goldie Gala, held at Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall on September 21, marked a milestone in its history. With over 700 attendees, this year’s gala was the largest since its establishment in 2017. The event raised over $950,000 in donations, with more still coming in, showcasing strong support from over 150 sponsors.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Goldie Gala Shero to Heitman Head of Global Investment Research Mary Ludgin, in recognition of her outstanding contributions.

This year’s Goldie Gala also welcomed its largest cohort of Goldie Scholars to date: 34 students from 18 universities nationwide. Notably, MIT, Harvard, Iowa State University, and the University of Miami joined the program this year, expanding its reach. The following day, Goldie Scholars participated in an orientation session led by Board President Jen Sweeny, covering essential topics related to The Goldie Initiative and ending with an architectural walking tour of Chicago.
