The Goldie Initiative Hosts Inaugural Goldie Gala New York, Bringing Together More Than 200 Commercial Real Estate Leaders and Emerging Women Professionals
NEW YORK, NY – June 18, 2026 – The Goldie Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in commercial real estate through scholarships, networking, mentoring, and leadership development, successfully hosted its inaugural Goldie Gala New York on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 590 Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
The evening welcomed more than 200 industry professionals, Goldie Scholars, alumnae, mentors, and supporters for a celebration of leadership, community, and the continued advancement of women in commercial real estate.
Founded in Chicago, The Goldie Initiative has spent nearly two decades investing in the next generation of women leaders through financial support, professional development, and meaningful industry connections. Goldie Gala New York marks a significant milestone in the organization’s growth as it expands its presence on the East Coast to support a growing network of scholars, alumnae and mentors based in the region.
The event featured remarks from The Goldie Initiative’s Founder and Chair Goldie Wolfe Miller, CEO Megan Abraham, Goldie Scholar Hannah Rosenberg, and Board President Julie Thick, each sharing personal perspectives on the importance of mentorship, opportunity, and community in shaping successful careers in commercial real estate.

“I wanted to give back to an industry that has been so good to me throughout my 50-year career. When I started, there were very few women in the room,” said Goldie Wolfe Miller. “It is incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our work, and we are so proud of the young women who come through the Goldie Initiative. We are providing mentorship, guidance, and industry knowledge that often cannot be learned in the classroom. The more support we receive and the more people who get involved, the more Goldie Scholars we can empower. Bringing our Gala to New York is especially meaningful, as nearly 60 percent of our Scholars come from the East Coast. We are excited to grow our community here and expand opportunities for future leaders in commercial real estate.”
The evening was focused on networking, providing attendees the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, emerging professionals, and members of the broader The Goldie Initiative community. The short program highlighted the organization’s mission and showcased the transformative impact of its scholarship, mentorship, and leadership development programs.
The success of the inaugural New York Gala underscores the growing demand for programs and communities that support women throughout every stage of their commercial real estate careers. Goldie Gala Chicago, which will be celebrating its 10th year as a premier networking event for the CRE industry, will take place on September 17th at Chicago Union Station, honoring Lisa Konieczka of CBRE.
