The Goldie Initiative received a grant from the Debbie Frank Legacy Fund to help fund its Goldie Scholars program and establish a strategic partnership with Commercial Real Estate Women Chicago.

The partnership will sponsor an additional Goldie Scholar associated with a Chicago-area graduate institution. The Debbie Frank Legacy Fund honors the respected and accomplished leader in the Chicagoland CRE community. Frank was passionate about helping women succeed in the field and died in 2020, according to a release.

“With a unique strategy of scholarship, mentoring, networking and skills development, The Goldie Initiative cultivates talented women into future leaders,” the organization said in the release. “The program supports women pursuing graduate-level studies in business, law, design, or management with a focus on real estate. Over 30 current Goldie Scholars are studying in real estate-related programs at nearly 20 universities nationwide.”

The Debbie Frank Legacy Fund/CREW Chicago/Goldie Scholar will be chosen from the 2024-2025 cohort of Goldie Scholars. The scholarship application period is open, and the organization will accept applications through June 2.
